Benefits of Drinking Water

The summer months are approaching at a rapid speed, jumpers will no longer be an essential, the air conditioners will be running and the beach loaded once again. All well and good, but one very important aspect to keep an eye on as the weather heats up is adequate hydration.

The human body is about 60% water, we are constantly loosing water from our body’s, as the weather heats up, your body will naturally expend more sweat to maintain your body temperature in normal ranges. It is very important to stay one step ahead and be well hydrated to cope with these changes optimally.

Health Authorities commonly recommend to drink 2 Litres of water per day.  The best way to do this is to take small sips of water throughout the day.

Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells, and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

All in all, the benefits of staying properly hydrated are crucial for maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
